MBABANE – ChafZar Lifestyle is excited to announce that this coming Easter it will host the inaugural Tri-Nation Festival, a major regional event involving South Africa, Eswatini, and Mozambique.
Scheduled to debut during the Easter Weekend of April 2 to April 5, 2026, the festival will feature a comedy show, gospel music, a Soul & RnB event, car spinning, and a battle of the DJs.
The event will kick off with a Tri-Nation Comedy Night on Thursday, April 2. “Nothing unites people from diverse backgrounds better than humour, especially if they can all relate to the joke(s) and the language. There are a number of Eswatini comedians who are a hit in Mpumalanga among the Swazi speaking population. Mozambique also boasts a good number of standup comedians who, with exposure to the SA market, are sure to reduce audiences to stitches with laughter,” said ChafZar MD Ndumiso Mona.
Tatenda Mandaza of Tendamix in Eswatini, the record producer known as DJ Tendaness and one of the brains behind the festival, added: “This concept has been in the sausage machine for the past two years and we are happy it will now come to manifestation.”
On Friday, April 3, the best gospel music talent from the three countries will take the stage. “All three countries have a strong following when it comes to gospel music and a gospel concert will be most appropriate on the day being Easter Friday,” said Mona. The concert is set to start in the afternoon, allowing attendees to go to church services in the morning, and will last until early evening.
The soulful sounds take over on Saturday, April 4. “We will host the Tri-Nation Soul & RnB Party. This will be the ultimate soulful event in the region, full of RnB grooves and chilled vibes,” said Mona. He noted that a very popular South African DJ has already been secured for the show, with details to be released in due course.
The climax of the weekend arrives on Sunday, April 5, when the ChafZar Spin City hosts the Tri-Nation Spin Fest. ChafZar’s head of spinning, Brian Malope, said the event will feature “Team SA, Team Eswatini, and Team Moz,” promising the most exhilarating spinning event in the region. Topping it all off will be a Tri-Nation Battle of the DJs after-party, showcasing icons of Amapiano, Marrabenta, Kwaito, House, and Hip Hop.
This festival marks a significant milestone for regional entertainment, bringing three nations together for a historic celebration of music, sport, and culture in Mbombela.
