MBABANE– Over 20 participants took part in the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) Business Incubator programme today, aimed at helping Emaswati turn business ideas into legally registered companies.
Senior Communications Officer at RSTP, Senzo Malaza, told the public through the parastatal’s official social media pages that the programme is designed to make company registration stress-free and accessible for aspiring entrepreneurs.
“At the RSTP Business Incubator, we help you turn your idea into a legally registered company, stress-free and hassle-free,” Malaza said. “From paperwork to guidance, we walk with you every step of the way. Let us handle the registration while you focus on building your business.”
Interested individuals are encouraged to visit, call, or DM RSTP to start their journey as soon as possible.
Seed Capital Boost for Start-Ups
In a related development, RSTP, in collaboration with Standard Bank Eswatini, awarded E300 000 in seed capital to 10 start-ups through the Ematfuba-Ami Programme.
The former CEO of RSTP explained that the programme seeks to educate young innovators about various business development options, helping them transform ideas—both tangible and intangible—into commercially viable ventures.
Fostering Youth Innovation and Economic Growth
“The programme aims to increase youth participation in innovation and entrepreneurship, improve the readiness of youth-led businesses for incubation, enhance access to financial services, and support market penetration,” the CEO said. “Ultimately, we want these companies to contribute significantly to employment generation and the country’s economic growth.”
He stressed that for this to succeed, both companies and government entities must deliberately support entrepreneurs, particularly by incorporating start-ups into procurement processes to help them scale into larger enterprises.
Celebrating Innovators and Start-Ups
The CEO acknowledged the passion, perseverance, and hard work of innovators and start-ups in Eswatini. “We have no doubt that you are a unique class of entrepreneurs, and the youth in institutions of higher learning and schools will draw inspiration from you,” he said.
He emphasised that RSTP, alongside its partners, will continue to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem, creating more opportunities while addressing the challenges start-ups currently face.

With initiatives like the Business Incubator and the Ematfuba-Ami Programme, RSTP is positioning Eswatini’s youth as the next generation of innovators and economic contributors.
