LOBAMBA- For the mother carrying her child to a clinic and the elderly citizen collecting chronic medication, accessible healthcare brings peace of mind.
Government has allocated E3.24 billion to the Ministry of Health in the 2026/27 financial year.
“Our goal is that no LiSwati should travel more than 8 kilometres to a health facility,” the Minister stated.
Four mobile cancer screening units are now operational nationwide. Eswatini has also introduced Lenacapavir, a twice-yearly injectable HIV treatment.
“This transforms adherence and dramatically improves health outcomes,” the Minister explained.
An allocation of E40 million will operationalise the Eswatini Medical Supplies Agency to modernise procurement systems and reduce stock-outs.
The Phalala Fund’s outstanding debt has been reduced to E30 million, demonstrating improved fiscal management in health financing.
For families, these reforms mean stronger clinics, better medicine availability and expanded preventive care services.
