MBABANE- Eswatini Water Services Corporation has extended its sincere apologies to customers affected by the protracted and intermittent water supply in parts of Mbabane.
The Corporation said the disruptions are a result of unusually high water consumption within the network, which has led to significant drawdowns in reservoirs and affected the stability of supply. Areas impacted include Thembelihle, Mpolonjeni, Manyisa, Nkoyoyo, Makholokholo, Eveni, and Ngwenya.
Speaking during an interview on February 17, 2026, Hlobile Jele, Specialist in Public Relations and Communications at the Corporation, assured customers that water supply has not been completely cut off but is currently intermittent.
She apologised for the inconvenience caused and confirmed that technical teams are actively investigating the causes of the drawdowns while implementing measures to stabilise and restore reservoir levels ahead of full recovery.
Jele further indicated that the Corporation has provided alternative means for affected communities to access water during the disruption period, while efforts continue to safeguard the network.
Customers have been urged to promptly report any visible pipe leaks, bursts, or unusual water flows in their communities to assist in protecting the system.
The Corporation anticipates that full water supply to all affected areas will be restored by Saturday, 21 February 2026, and thanked customers for their patience and cooperation.
