EZULWINI— FNB Eswatini hosted its first-ever Property Indaba on 18 February 2026, bringing together property industry leaders to explore ways of making homeownership more accessible for emaSwati.
The event, held at FNB’s Ezulwini Head Office, convened key stakeholders across the property value chain, including estate agents, conveyancers, developers, valuers, and representatives from the Deeds Office. Discussions focused on improving processes, enhancing collaboration, and finding innovative solutions to streamline the home loan experience.
Dr Mncedzi Ngomane, FNB’s Executive Head of Retail, highlighted the need for joint effort across the sector. “Promoting homeownership requires more than just innovative loan products. It demands strong collaboration across the property ecosystem. By working closely with conveyancers, estate agents, and the Deeds Office, we can make the journey to homeownership smoother for emaSwati,” he said.
Panelist Bongani Zwane, an industry evaluator, praised the Indaba for its focus on stakeholder education. “This initiative is timely. Educating and engaging all players in the property sector has a direct impact on the experience of the end customer,” he noted.
Moderating the sessions, Tiyamike Maziya of Lionheart Properties underlined the importance of coordination. “Efficiency comes when every participant in the value chain understands their role and keeps the customer in mind. Ensuring seamless hand-offs between agents, evaluators, and the bank is critical,” he said.
Paris Dlamini, Home Loans Lead at FNB, reiterated the bank’s commitment to innovation and operational efficiency. “We aim to be more than a lender; we are a partner in the homeownership journey. By aligning with evaluators and estate agents, we reduce delays and make products like the Sicalo Home Loan truly accessible to our customers,” she said.
The inaugural Property Indaba marks a new chapter for Eswatini’s property market, promoting transparency, collaboration, and efficiency as essential drivers of homeownership and long-term wealth creation.
