MBABANE – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has invited qualified candidates to apply for two senior positions in the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office as part of efforts to strengthen disability services and administration in the country.
The positions available are Director of Disability and National Disability Registrar, with applications open to suitable professionals across Eswatini until 31 March 2026.
The announcement was made through the Ministry of Public Service, which confirmed that both posts will be based within the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office. Authorities are seeking experienced and competent individuals capable of providing strategic leadership and administrative oversight on matters concerning persons with disabilities.
According to the notice, the Director of Disability will be responsible for guiding policy direction, coordinating disability-related programmes and ensuring the effective implementation of national strategies that promote inclusion and equal opportunities.
The successful candidate will also work closely with key stakeholders, including government ministries, civil society organisations and development partners, to advance the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities across the country.
Meanwhile, the National Disability Registrar will oversee the management and maintenance of the National Disability Register. This role is expected to ensure accurate data collection, proper record keeping and the efficient administration of disability-related services and support systems.
Officials emphasised that reliable and up-to-date data is essential for effective planning, budgeting and improved service delivery for persons with disabilities.
The Commission further stated that interested applicants can access detailed job descriptions, qualifications and application requirements through links available on the government website.
Candidates are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date of 31 March 2026.
The recruitment exercise forms part of Government’s broader commitment to strengthening public service delivery and improving institutional frameworks that support vulnerable groups within society.
Authorities believe that filling these key positions will enhance coordination, transparency and accountability in the administration of disability programmes while strengthening efforts aimed at promoting inclusion.
Qualified emaSwati professionals have therefore been encouraged to seize the opportunity to contribute towards building a more inclusive society where persons with disabilities can fully participate in national development.
