MBABANE– Aspiring actors in Eswatini are being given a chance to step into the spotlight as the Eswatini Theatre Club opens auditions for a new stage production scheduled for April 2026.
The auditions will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Eswatini Theatre Club in Mbabane, where performers from across the country are invited to showcase their acting abilities and passion for theatre. The initiative aims to discover fresh talent while strengthening the country’s performing arts industry.
According to organisers, the upcoming production will centre on themes of honesty, human emotions and the realities of everyday life, bringing stories to the stage that audiences can relate to. The play is expected to combine powerful storytelling with authentic performances that reflect real-life experiences.
During the auditions, participants will be required to prepare two different characters, each accompanied by a one-minute monologue. This format has been designed to help actors demonstrate their versatility, creativity and ability to portray different emotional perspectives.
Organisers explained that the auditions are open to both emerging and experienced performers, making it an inclusive platform for anyone passionate about theatre. The club hopes that the initiative will uncover new talent while giving actors an opportunity to gain valuable experience performing on stage.
Interested participants are encouraged to register online in advance to secure their audition slots, as space and time for performances may be limited.
