LOBAMBA– Minister of Home Affairs, Princess Lindiwe, has reaffirmed Emaswati’s unwavering loyalty to His Majesty King Mswati III, pledging continued support for the monarchy and its vision for the nation.
Princess Lindiwe made these remarks on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Somhlolo National Stadium in Lobamba during the double celebrations marking His Majesty’s Ruby Jubilee and his 58th birthday.
Addressing the thousands in attendance while directing the proceedings, the minister emphasised that as Emaswati, the nation remained steadfast in its allegiance to the King and the throne. She stated that this loyalty was a reflection of the love, care and dedication His Majesty had shown to his people over the past 40 years of his reign.
“As Emaswati, we pledge our loyalty to you and the throne in appreciation of the love you have consistently shown us throughout your reign,” she said.
Princess Lindiwe highlighted that the nation would continue to support and align itself with the King’s forward-thinking vision, which seeks to ensure that all citizens live meaningful and fulfilling lives characterised by hope, stability and happiness.
She further reflected on the historical context surrounding His Majesty’s ascension to the throne in 1986, noting that the region at the time was marked by political instability and uncertainty.
The minister pointed out that neighbouring South Africa was still under the oppressive apartheid regime, which subjected black South Africans to severe hardships and systemic discrimination. Mozambique was also grappling with a devastating civil war, contributing to widespread instability across the region.
Despite these challenges, she said, Eswatini remained peaceful and united under the leadership of King Mswati III, a testament to his commitment to stability and national cohesion.
Princess Lindiwe concluded by reiterating that Emaswati would remain loyal and committed to the King’s leadership and vision, which continues to guide the country towards peace, unity and sustainable development.
