NOTHANDO HLOPHE TAKES ESWATINI GOSPEL TO ALL WHITE PICNIC

BY NELIWE NGUBANE (INTERN)

MBABANE— Gospel powerhouse Nothando Hlophe is stepping onto an even bigger stage as she headlines the highly anticipated All White Gospel event set for Friday, 1 May 2026, at ZigZag Cafe in South Africa.

This marks a major milestone for Hlophe, as she continues to expand beyond Eswatini and position herself among some of Southern Africa’s biggest gospel names. Sharing the stage with industry heavyweights like Dumi Mkokstad, Ayanda Ntanzi, Lebo Sekgobela and Nontokozo Mkhize signals her growing influence and recognition on the regional gospel scene.

The event, which will run from 12pm to 10pm, promises a full day of praise, worship and celebration, bringing together gospel lovers from across South Africa and beyond. The line-up also features Thinah Zungu, Ndumiso Zungu and Thoko Madonsela, alongside DuduzA Serenade. Hosting duties will be handled by Linda Sibiya, popularly known as Mr Magic, together with Kgau Mabeta.

For Hlophe, this is more than just another performance, it is a statement moment. Known for her powerful, spirit-filled voice and messages of hope, faith and healing, she is now carrying Eswatini’s gospel sound onto a broader international platform. Her inclusion at such a high-profile event highlights her rising star and the growing demand for her music beyond borders.

Taking to social media ahead of the show, Hlophe expressed her excitement, writing: “I look forward to this one #ANewDawn #methodistmedley,” a message that reflects both anticipation and a sense of new beginnings in her career.

Organisers have urged attendees to embrace the All White theme, symbolising unity and purity, while noting that no cooler boxes will be allowed as food and drinks will be sold at the venue.

Tickets are available via Computicket, with general access priced at R250 and VIP at R400. They can also be purchased at Shoprite, Checkers and Usave outlets.
