MBABANE– Eswatini content creators Gogo naSlwane yesterday jetted off to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where they are set to represent Eswatini at the African Social Media Influencers Summit 2026 scheduled for 7–8 May.
The duo, known for their relatable and culturally grounded content, are among a select group of African creatives invited to the prestigious summit, which brings together some of the continent’s most influential digital voices. Their manager, Philani Mpanza, described the opportunity as both humbling and defining.
“It is a career and brand-defining consideration for us,” said Mpanza. “We believe it is a testament to the work we have put in over the past five years, and also a perfect reflection of the support we have received from our community.”
The invitation-only summit is designed to celebrate and connect Africa’s trailblazing content creators, offering a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and innovation. Mpanza revealed that Gogo naSlwane’s participation came as a direct recognition of their growing influence and impact within the digital space.
As they prepare to engage with fellow creatives from across the continent, the pair are carrying a strong message centred on unity and collaboration. “We believe African creatives stand to benefit more from working together, from local to regional and continental levels,” he explained. “We are also excited to creatively preach the gospel of Swati content creation excellence.”

Gogo naSlwane’s rise to international recognition has been rooted in authenticity. According to Mpanza, their content reflects the everyday lives of ordinary Emaswati, making it both relatable and impactful. “We have remained grounded in who we are. Our content must resonate with our community,it has to hit and stick,” he said.
Their presence at the summit is expected to unlock new opportunities, including collaborations, exposure to wider audiences and participation in panel discussions. Mpanza emphasised that such experiences are key to their growth strategy for 2026.
“This platform will give us priceless exposure and strengthen our brand. It also serves as a bridge to new audiences we have been strategically working to reach,” he noted.
Fans can also expect an evolution in the duo’s work following this milestone. “There will be an elevated level of professionalism, more addictive and refreshing content, and exciting collaborations that will bring new flavours to our audience,” Mpanza added.
