MBABANE– Emerging artist Gifted Kosie has stepped into the spotlight with the release of her latest project, Lelo Sounds Vol.1, an album that leans into the timeless power of Jazz to communicate emotion beyond words.
The newly released body of work captures the essence of Jazz as a genre that continues to inspire through pure sound. With carefully crafted tracks, Kosie delivers a listening experience that shifts moods effortlessly,from uplifting, danceable rhythms to calming, reflective tones that invite listeners to pause and think.
“Lelo Sounds Vol.1 mirrors Jazz, a genre that till date is able to inspire without many words, just sounds,” said Gifted Kosie.
At the heart of the album lies the track Imphumelelo, which carries the project’s central message of hope and perseverance. The song encourages listeners to remain patient and resilient, assuring them that brighter days lie ahead.
“Imphumelelo pleads with whoever is listening to patiently persevere and not give up. It promises a better tomorrow. For as long as we have life in us, we can always hope for better days,” he explained.
The project also reflects a collaborative effort, with Kosie working closely with Livin SZ, a partnership he describes as both inspiring and transformative.
“Working with Livin SZ on this project is an inspirational, transformative experience that infused my music with fresh ideas and perspectives. I’m not only learning skills but also drawing inspiration from his experiences,” said Kosie.
Beyond the current release, the artist has already set his sights on the future. Fans can expect more music, as he confirmed that a follow-up project is already in the pipeline.
“Yes, we are definitely coming with Vol.2 and even more single drops,” he revealed.
With Lelo Sounds Vol.1, Gifted Kosie positions himself as a storyteller through sound, using Jazz not just as a genre, but as a language of emotion and hope.
