EZULWINI– Appointed Member of Parliament (MP) Prince Lindani is calling for tangible solutions that will help in sustaining the Organisation for the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
Prince Lindani said this on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Ezulwini Palazzo International Convention Centre (ICC), during the opening of the OACPS-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. The meeting has started on May 7 and it will end on May 14, 2026.
Speaking during the opening of the assembly, Prince Lindani said he trusted that by the time the meeting ended, the tangible solutions would have been found to sustain the OACPS. He welcomed the legislators from all the countries from the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), as well as the European Union (EU).
Prince Lindani said it was clear that the OACPS needed to be sustained, as it became clear during the OACPS Summit held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. The summit was held on March 27 to 29, 2026 and during that event, His Majesty King Mswati III raised funds for the OACPS, which is one of the reasons why this Joint Assembly is held in Eswatini.
Prince Lindani said he hoped that the delegates (legislators) would have a memorable stay in Eswatini, which would enable them to come up with viable ideas that would move the OACPS forward. On a lighter note, Prince Lindani congratulated the lawmakers for being the first group to host a meeting in the ICC facility, after it was officially opened by His Majesty King Mswati III on April 25, 2026, during the weekend of the 40/58 double celebration.
