MBABANE The Kingdom of Eswatini is strengthening international business partnerships and unlocking new opportunities for entrepreneurship and job creation as the  Honourable Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, participates in the World Housing Forum and Exhibition in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On the sidelines of the global forum, Khumalo held mutual discussions with Mr. Niyaz Ali-zadeh, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Azerbaijan, where the two leaders explored strategies to strengthen enterprise development, investment promotion and sustainable economic growth.

The discussions focused on entrepreneurship development and diverse investment opportunities that could support business expansion and economic transformation while creating opportunities for emaSwati.

Khumalo and Ali-zadeh also exchanged ideas on business development as a key driver of job creation, innovation and solutions to unemployment, highlighting the importance of a vibrant private sector in building resilient economies.

The engagement further allowed Eswatini to gain insights from Azerbaijan’s successful model of private sector coordination and sustainable growth, with both parties identifying areas that could inspire stronger business ecosystems and enterprise development.

As part of efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation, the leaders explored opportunities for future collaboration, including the hosting of joint business seminars and a possible cooperation framework aimed at advancing shared economic priorities.

The engagement reflects Government’s ongoing commitment to positioning Eswatini as a competitive destination for investment while expanding partnerships that strengthen local enterprise development and unlock opportunities for economic growth.

According to information shared by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, the discussions also highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange and collaboration in strengthening entrepreneurship and empowering businesses to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Stakeholders believe stronger international partnerships can help unlock innovation, expand market opportunities and create sustainable pathways for employment and business growth.

As Eswatini continues strengthening its economic agenda, Government remains optimistic that strategic engagements such as these will help attract investment, empower entrepreneurs and accelerate inclusive economic development for the benefit of emaSwati.
