ZIMBABWE – Prince Lindani Dlamini has continued to strengthen diplomatic and cultural relations between Eswatini and Zimbabwe through a series of engagements showcasing the two nations’ shared heritage, unity and commitment to regional cooperation.
The Prince, who is leading an Eswatini delegation in Zimbabwe, expressed gratitude to Zimbabwe’s First Lady, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, after being hosted on a cultural tour of Baradzamwa Village. The visit offered the delegation a closer look at Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage and traditions while highlighting the importance of preserving African identity.
The cultural exchange formed part of broader efforts aimed at deepening the long-standing historical and cultural ties between the two Southern African nations.
Prince Lindani is in Zimbabwe on a diplomatic mission on behalf of His Majesty King Mswati III. During the visit, he conveyed Eswatini’s congratulations to President Emmerson Mnangagwa following Zimbabwe’s election to a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 term. The visit has also focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, investment opportunities and regional development initiatives between the two countries.

Beyond cultural engagements, the delegation also immersed itself in Zimbabwe’s sporting culture by attending a football match between Scotland FC and Triangle at Rufaro Stadium in Harare. Accompanied by Eswatini’s Minister of Agriculture, Mandla Tshawuka, Prince Lindani witnessed the passion and energy that football brings to communities.
The atmosphere at the stadium provided an opportunity for the delegation to experience how sport continues to unite people across borders while fostering friendship among nations.
Reflecting on the visit, Prince Lindani emphasized the value of cultural exchange and regional solidarity.
“The visit highlighted Zimbabwe’s rich heritage and the importance of preserving African identity, strengthening the bond between Zimbabwe and Eswatini,” he said.
Observers noted that the football outing symbolized more than just sport. From the stands to the pitch, the occasion reflected unity, friendship and a shared vision for stronger regional integration.
As the visit continues, it is expected to open new avenues for cooperation between Eswatini and Zimbabwe in areas ranging from culture and tourism to trade, investment and youth empowerment.
The engagements underscore the enduring friendship between the two countries and their commitment to working together for the benefit of their people and the Southern African region as a whole.
