MBABANE– Award-winning Eswatini music group Emagagu are set for a major season after announcing the release of their highly anticipated new single, Umtsimba WeMzala, while also confirming their performance at this year’s Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival.
The new single will be released worldwide on Friday, July 10, across all major digital streaming platforms. The group said the song continues their mission of preserving Swati culture while embracing modern African sounds.
Speaking about the release, Emagagu said the song celebrates identity, culture and togetherness.
“This song represents celebration, identity and community. We wanted to create something that feels deeply rooted in who we are while also speaking to a broader African audience. Umtsimba WeMzala carries emotion, culture and energy that people will connect with,” the group said.
The release marks another important milestone for Emagagu, whose unique fusion of traditional Swati music and contemporary African sounds has earned them a growing following both locally and beyond Eswatini’s borders.
The group continues to build momentum following a memorable performance on the Firefly (Corona) Stage at the 2026 MTN Bushfire Festival, where they impressed audiences with their energetic stage presence and authentic cultural expression.
Adding to their growing list of achievements, Emagagu have also been confirmed as part of the entertainment lineup for the prestigious Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival, scheduled for August 1 and 2 at House on Fire.
The annual festival is recognised as one of Southern Africa’s leading lifestyle events, bringing together music, fashion, food and creative entrepreneurship while attracting visitors from across the continent.
For Emagagu, performing at Luju represents another opportunity to showcase Eswatini’s rich musical heritage on a regional stage and further strengthen their presence within Africa’s creative industry.
