MBABANE– The Kingdom of Eswatini has received a fourth group of Third Country Nationals (TCNs) from the United States under an existing bilateral arrangement between the two governments.
Government has assured the nation that all necessary measures are in place to safeguard national security while upholding the rights of the individuals.
In a statement released on Thursday morning, Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli confirmed that eleven (11) TCNs had arrived in the country, bringing the latest phase of the ongoing cooperation between Eswatini and the United States on international migration management.
Mdluli said Government remains committed to ensuring that, during their temporary stay in the Kingdom, the fundamental rights of the TCNs, who are predominantly from African countries, are respected and protected in accordance with the laws of Eswatini and the country’s international obligations.
She further assured emaSwati that Government has put in place appropriate measures to protect the security and well-being of the Kingdom and its citizens while the individuals remain in the country.
“The Kingdom of Eswatini remains a responsible member of the international community and will continue to honour its bilateral and international commitments in a manner that upholds its sovereignty, respects its national laws and reflects its longstanding humanitarian values,” said Mdluli.
The latest arrivals constitute the fourth group of TCNs transferred to Eswatini under the bilateral arrangement with the United States. Previous groups were received in July and October 2025, and March this year, as part of the cooperation agreement between the two countries.
Reports indicate that the latest group brings the total number of third-country nationals transferred to Eswatini under the arrangement to 29. Reports further state that two individuals from earlier groups have since been repatriated to their countries of origin, while engagements continue regarding the return of the remaining individuals.
The United States has entered into similar third-country migration arrangements with several countries as part of its immigration enforcement programme, with Eswatini maintaining that its participation is guided by bilateral cooperation, national laws and international obligations.
Government has not disclosed the identities or nationalities of the latest arrivals but reiterated that the Kingdom remains committed to balancing its international responsibilities with the protection of national interests and the safety of its people.
