EZULWINI – A powerful reminder of Eswatini’s heritage, unity and resilience has arrived through Young Zesh’s latest single, Umliba Loyembili, which was released today at midnight.

The patriotic track carries a deeper meaning beyond music, as the artist uses it to celebrate the strength of emaSwati, honour the legacy of ancestors and encourage the nation to stand together.

Young Zesh said the song was inspired by the spirit of Eswatini’s warriors and the courage that has shaped the nation throughout history. He explained that he wanted to create a song that would remind emaSwati of their identity and shared strength.

Umliba Loyembili was inspired by the spirit of our ancestors, our warriors and the strength that has always defined the people of Eswatini. I wanted to create more than just a song – I wanted to create an anthem that reminds us of who we are,” he said.

The artist said the song also reflects his desire to see unity within the local music industry, believing that collaboration and support among artists can create a stronger creative community.

“I believed it was time to bring artists together on one record to prove that unity is stronger than competition,” he said.

The title Umliba Loyembili carries a message of bravery, resilience and perseverance, representing people who continue moving forward despite challenges. Through the song, Young Zesh pays tribute to the warriors who defended the kingdom and the leaders who contributed to Eswatini’s history.

“As an artist, my vision has always been to create music that entertains while educating and inspiring. I don’t just want to make songs that people dance to; I want to tell our stories, protect our culture and give young people something meaningful to identify with,” he said.

Following its release, the song will officially come alive on stage tonight as Young Zesh performs Umliba Loyembili for the first time at Mdzimba View and Shisanyama.

The artist hopes the song will grow into a movement that inspires national pride and introduces Eswatini’s culture to audiences beyond the kingdom.

“My expectation is that Umliba Loyembili becomes a movement rather than just another release. I hope it unites artists, inspires young people and reminds every Swazi that we are capable of achieving great things when we stand together,” he said.

Released under Mabonwa Abulawe Records, Umliba Loyembili is positioned as a musical celebration of identity, heritage and the power of a united Eswatini.
