Eswatini is preparing to welcome 40 celebrated personalities from South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Botswana this weekend as the Kingdom transforms into Southern Africa’s entertainment hub. From Friday, July 31 to Sunday, August 2, music lovers, football enthusiasts and lifestyle seekers will be treated to a packed calendar of concerts, celebrity football, fashion showcases and cultural experiences across the country.

The star-studded line-up includes Sjava, Big Zulu, Cassper Nyovest, Donald, Sweet Guluva, William Last KRM, Andile Mpisane, Nasty C, Zakes Bantwini, Zola 7, Liquideep, Shwi Mntombazane, Ka-Tembe Connexion, Bathini, Circles & Squares, Wandile Mbambeni, Vuyo Viwe, DJ Bob, The Masekela Band, Coco & J, WonderBoom, Thando Zide, Mandisa Dyantyis, Maleh, Neyma, Kyle Shepherd Xahuri Trio, Makgadi Itsweng, Danayi Madondo, Mzukisi Mbane, Mapensela, Senzo Afrika, Touchline, Shizzey, Lindough, Sonic, Phuthego, Thabang, Dlomo, Thami, Lungisa, Lebogang, Shuda, Shenko and Mshini, who will be spread across several major events taking place in different parts of the Kingdom.

Entertainment lovers are expected to descend on Mdzimba View and Shisanyama, Somhlolo National Stadium, House on Fire in Malkerns, Siteki Kalanga and Espinho Restaurant & Bar as the country hosts one of its busiest entertainment weekends of the year.

SJAVA OPENS THE WEEKEND

The festivities begin on Friday, July 31, with Sjava KaJama Live Eswatini at Mdzimba View and Shisanyama.

Award-winning singer-songwriter Sjava, born Jabulani Hadebe, has become one of South Africa’s most celebrated musicians through his unique fusion of Afro-soul, hip-hop and traditional African sounds. Fans can expect performances of popular hits including Umama, Abangani, Amavaka, Linda and Ikhandlela.

KINGDOM CELEBRITY CUP TAKES CENTRE STAGE

On Saturday, August 1, attention shifts to Somhlolo National Stadium, where the Kingdom Celebrity Cup will bring together musicians, television personalities, influencers and football lovers for an entertaining football spectacle.

South Africa’s HipHop Football Club squad features Big Zulu, Cassper Nyovest, Donald, Sweet Guluva, William Last KRM, Mapensela, Senzo Afrika, Touchline, Shizzey, Lindough, Sonic, Phuthego, Thabang, Dlomo, Thami, Lungisa, Lebogang, Shuda, Shenko and Mshini.

The event is expected to attract thousands of supporters eager to see some of the region’s biggest entertainment personalities swap microphones for football boots.

LUJU FESTIVAL CELEBRATES MUSIC, FOOD AND FASHION

Also taking place on Saturday is the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival at House on Fire in Malkerns.

This year’s impressive programme features performances by Nasty C, Zakes Bantwini, Zola 7, Liquideep, Shwi Mntombazane, Ka-Tembe Connexion, Bathini, Circles & Squares, Wandile Mbambeni, Vuyo Viwe, DJ Bob, The Masekela Band, Coco & J, WonderBoom, Thando Zide, Mandisa Dyantyis, Maleh, Neyma, Kyle Shepherd Xahuri Trio, Makgadi Itsweng and Danayi Madondo.

Festival-goers will also enjoy a fashion showcase by renowned South African designer Mzukisi Mbane, further cementing Luju’s reputation as one of Africa’s premier lifestyle festivals.

BIG ZULU AND DONALD HEAD TO SITEKI

Entertainment continues in the Lubombo region, where Big Zulu and Donald will headline the Winter Send-Off at Siteki Kalanga.

The event offers fans another opportunity to enjoy live performances from two of South Africa’s most recognised recording artists.

CASSPER NYOVEST TO LEAD ALL WHITE EXPERIENCE

The weekend will also feature the All White 3rd Edition at Espinho Restaurant & Bar, where award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest will headline alongside businessman and reality television personality Andile Mpisane.

Organisers anticipate a vibrant nightlife experience as revellers gather for one of the weekend’s biggest parties.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKEND TO BOOST TOURISM

With 40 renowned personalities appearing across multiple venues over three days, Eswatini is poised to strengthen its reputation as one of Southern Africa’s emerging entertainment destinations.
