MBABANE – The Royal Eswatini Police Service Christian Police Association (REPS CPA) has strengthened its regional partnership with the South Africa Christian Police Association (SACPA) through a four-day conference held in Gqeberha, South Africa.

Held at The Willows Resort and Conference Centre under the theme “Empowered by Faith, United in Purpose” from Colossians 3:23, the conference brought together Christian police officers from across the region for prayer, teaching and fellowship.

The Eswatini delegation was led by Senior Assistant Commissioner Zanele Nxumalo, who represented the National Commissioner of Police. She was joined by Senior Assistant Commissioner Hlungwini Hlatjwako, Assistant Commissioner Nicolas Jele, Assistant Superintendent Doctor Sithole, who is the REPS CPA Chairperson, chaplains and other delegates.

Speaking on behalf of the National Commissioner of Police, Nxumalo said the conference provided an important platform for officers to strengthen their faith while reflecting on their responsibility to serve their countries and communities.

She said the Christian Police Association plays an important role in encouraging officers to impact the lives of fellow police officers and members of the community.

“At the end we shall not be remembered by the titles we held, but by the lives we impacted while we were still in the Police Service of both countries,” Nxumalo said.

The conference concluded with a farewell fellowship dinner hosted by SACPA, bringing the participating officers together before the Eswatini delegation’s departure.

The annual conference is part of the continued relationship between REPS CPA and SACPA, with the event alternating between Eswatini and South Africa.

The partnership provides Christian police officers from the two countries with an opportunity to share experiences, strengthen fellowship and renew their commitment to serving their communities with faith and purpose.
