MBABANE – Learners visited the King Sobhuza II Memorial Park yesterday as part of an educational programme aimed at deepening their understanding of Eswatini’s history and preserving the legacy of one of the Kingdom’s most influential monarchs.
The visit, organised under the Eswatini National Trust Commission (ENTC), provided learners with guided educational sessions highlighting the life, visionary leadership and enduring contributions of His Majesty King Sobhuza II to the nation’s development and cultural identity.
During the tour, the learners explored the historical significance of the memorial park while gaining insights into the events and leadership that shaped modern Eswatini. The programme also emphasised the importance of safeguarding the country’s cultural and historical heritage for future generations.
According to the ENTC, exposing young people to the country’s history plays a vital role in ensuring that King Sobhuza II’s legacy continues to inspire future generations while strengthening their appreciation of Eswatini’s traditions and national identity.
The commission reaffirmed its commitment to preserving and promoting the Kingdom’s cultural and historical heritage through educational initiatives that keep the stories of Eswatini’s national leaders alive.
