EZULWINI – The 2026 FNB Eswatini Challenge came to a successful close today with the Client Golf Day bringing together clients, stakeholders and business leaders for a day of golf, networking and relationship-building.
The Client Golf Day, held at Ezulwini Golf and Country Club, was described by FNB Eswatini Chief Executive Officer Thokozani ‘TK’ Dlamini as a fitting conclusion to what he termed a successful edition of the tournament.
Dlamini said the event demonstrated the strong relationship between FNB Eswatini and its clients and stakeholders, noting that the Client Golf Day had gone ahead despite disruptions caused by rain earlier in the week.
He said the willingness of clients and stakeholders to engage with the bank had helped make the event possible, while also creating an opportunity for participants to connect with fellow golfers and counterparts across different industries.
The CEO said the FNB Eswatini Challenge was about more than golf, highlighting its contribution to economic activity in Ezulwini.
“While the golf action was taking place on the greens of Ezulwini Golf and Country Club, the positive ripple effects were being felt by our informal traders, hospitality sector, caddies, retailers and many others,” Dlamini said.
He said the tournament provided FNB Eswatini with a platform to bring people together while investing in initiatives that enable emaSwati to participate actively in the economy and contribute towards economic growth.
The 2026 Challenge also placed emphasis on the future of golf, with FNB Eswatini hosting its inaugural Junior Golf Day on Friday at MTN Golf Park in partnership with the Sunshine Tour and Eswatini Golf Union.
The initiative brought together 30 young golfers, with Dlamini saying the bank hoped some of the youngsters would eventually pursue professional golf careers, while others could grow into future leaders and captains of industry.
Dlamini declared the 2026 FNB Eswatini Challenge a “resounding success”, attributing this to the support of clients, stakeholders, partners and sponsors.
He expressed appreciation to the tournament partners, including Sunshine Tour, Ezulwini Golf and Country Club, AD Enterprises, aQuelle, Oracle Group Eswatini, Sgonian Republik, Destiny Events, Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC), Phutfumani, MTN Eswatini, Ezulwini Municipality, Eswatini Beverages, Times of Eswatini and Eswatini TV.
The CEO said the relationships and networks cultivated through the Client Golf Day could provide a foundation for continued organisational growth and contribute towards economic prosperity in the Kingdom.
He congratulated the day’s winners for “Rising to the Challenge” and said FNB Eswatini looked forward to continued engagement with its clients and stakeholders.
