MANZINI – What began as a single night of worship in 2022 has grown into a broader vision centred on faith, partnerships, talent and community impact.
Speaking during the launch of the Mount Zion Experience Foundation, founder Siphiwo Ndoni described the journey as “a home-grown vision, born in worship, strengthened by partnership and building a future for Eswatini’s faith, talent and communities.”
The statement captures the direction Mount Zion has taken since its first gathering at Lobamba Christian Revival on 5 August 2022. What started as a worship experience has since developed into an annual event, attracting gospel ministers, emerging artists and audiences around the country.
However, the growth of the Mount Zion Experience has also created room for a broader vision, with the establishment of the Mount Zion Experience Foundation. The foundation is intended to focus on community support, particularly assisting people in need, including university students and vulnerable members of communities.
Ndoni said the vision is not centred on a single event, but on creating something that can have a lasting effect. “We are not building for one event; we are building for generations,” he said.
Partnerships are expected to play an important role in achieving that vision, with businesses, churches, donors and members of the public encouraged to contribute towards initiatives that can translate resources into tangible community support.
The Mount Zion Experience, meanwhile, will continue as an annual gospel gathering. Its 2026 edition is scheduled for 30 October at the Metropolitan Evangelical Church auditorium, For Ndoni, the journey represents a progression from the original worship gathering towards something with a wider purpose. “From one packed church to a national platform. From one experience to a lasting foundation,” he said.
The Mount Zion experience story is therefore no longer confined to what happens on stage. It is increasingly about how faith, partnerships and resources can be used to create opportunities and support people beyond the annual gathering.
