MBABANE- Eswatini Nazarene Health Institutions (ENHI) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mazwi Mavuso today shared his immense pride as the courageous Imbali from ENHI, proudly representing the Ministry of Health, successfully delivered the Reed (Umhlanga) at the sacred Ludzidzini Royal Residence.
He highlighted that this year also signifies a historic milestone, as it is ENHI’s first time participating in the sacred Annual Reed Dance Ceremony.
Mavuso emphasized that this historic journey, inculcated with tradition and dedication, continue to unfold, wich is a powerful testament to the unwavering spirit of the maidens and the invaluable support from their incredible partners. He noted that their commitment is truly inspiring to witness.
“We are incredibly proud to be part of this significant cultural event for the first time,” stated Mavuso.
“Our maidens have shown immense dedication, and we are grateful for the partnerships that have made their participation possible,” the CEO added.
He further highlighted that as usual, their dedicated medical team is on the ground to ensure the safety and well-being of all the Imbali by providing immediate medical assistance to anyone who might require it. This, he said, is crucial for such a physically demanding ceremony, allowing the maidens to participate confidently and securely.
He extended a heartfelt thank you to Century Fashion, Easy Buy, and Tandori for their exceptional collaboration in providing vital and nourishing meals. Mavuso highlighted that their generosity ensured the dedicated Imbali Regiment possessed the strength and sustenance needed to see this significant ceremony through to its successful conclusion.
Mavuso also expressed immense pride and gratitude for the sponsorship from Tesco Cash & Carry. He explained that their contribution of the maidens’ iconic branded t-shirts and refreshing energy drinks provided both comfort and renewed vigor for their challenging walks, allowing them to participate with pride and energy.
In closing, Mavuso stated that together, the community stood in celebration of the maidens, their resilience, and the powerful partnerships that made such profound and culturally significant moments possible.
