NTFONJENI– Healthcare services at Ntfonjeni Clinic have received a major boost following the completion and official commencement of operations of newly constructed nurses’ quarters, with support from the Micro Projects Programme.
The new accommodation is expected to improve the working and living conditions of nurses serving at the clinic while strengthening the availability of healthcare personnel within the community.
The project is part of efforts to support the provision of essential services in rural communities, where access to suitable accommodation for healthcare workers can play an important role in ensuring that staff remain closer to their places of work.
Speaking on the development, Indvuna yenkhundla Mandla Magagula welcomed the completion of the nurses’ quarters, highlighting the importance of partnerships in addressing community needs.
Magagula said the support received through the Micro Projects Programme demonstrates the positive impact that development initiatives can have when they respond directly to the needs of local communities.
He further noted that the availability of proper accommodation for nurses would contribute towards creating a conducive working environment and strengthening healthcare service delivery at Ntfonjeni Clinic.
The newly completed facility, pictured with community representatives and stakeholders, features accommodation designed to provide nurses with a safe and suitable place to stay while carrying out their duties.
For residents of Ntfonjeni, the development represents more than just a new building, as it has the potential to improve the responsiveness and continuity of healthcare services in the area.
The project also highlights the role of community-focused development programmes such as Micro Projects in supporting infrastructure needs and improving public services across Eswatini.
