MBABANE – The Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) has begun engaging key stakeholders as part of preparations for its 2027–2030 Strategic Plan aimed at strengthening service delivery and enhancing institutional performance.
The consultative meeting brought together representatives from several institutions including the Construction Industry Council, Eswatini Communications Commission, Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Authority and the Eswatini Environment Authority, alongside officials from various government ministries.
According to ERS, the engagements form part of a broader consultation process designed to gather insights from stakeholders who interact with the organisation across different sectors of the economy.
During the discussions, participants explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration, enhance operational efficiency and ensure that the upcoming strategic plan responds effectively to the evolving needs of the country.
Officials noted that stakeholder participation plays a critical role in shaping a strategic framework that is inclusive, responsive and aligned with national development priorities.
The consultations also provided a platform for stakeholders to share experiences and perspectives on how the organisation can continue improving its services while supporting economic growth.
ERS emphasised that ongoing dialogue with partners is essential in building a strategy that reflects the expectations of businesses, government institutions and other key players in the economy.
The organisation indicated that the consultation process will continue with additional meetings involving different stakeholders as it gathers further input for the development of the new strategic plan.
Once completed, the strategy is expected to guide the organisation’s operations between 2027 and 2030 while strengthening its role in revenue mobilisation and supporting national development.
Officials said the initiative reflects ERS’s commitment to transparency, collaboration and continuous improvement in delivering services to the nation.
