MANZINI– Fifty years of singing together has given Manzini Choir more than a milestone to celebrate; it has created a musical legacy carried through generations of voices, friendships and shared performances.

The choir will mark its golden jubilee with a gala dinner on October 31 at the UNESWA Sports Emporium, bringing together members, former members, supporters and guests to celebrate five decades of music, excellence and unity.

Under the theme “Together in Song, Forever in Harmony,” the evening is expected to reflect on the journey that has kept the choir together while recognising the people who have contributed to its story over the years.

For a choir, longevity is not only measured by the number of years it has existed, but also by its ability to keep finding new voices while preserving the spirit that brought earlier generations together.

The golden jubilee therefore offers an opportunity to look beyond the performances and remember the rehearsals, competitions, friendships and moments on stage that have shaped Manzini Choir over the past five decades.

The gala dinner is scheduled to begin at 6pm, with guests expected to dress in either black tie or traditional imvunulo, giving the celebration both a formal and distinctly Eswatini character.

As the choir enters its 51st year, the golden jubilee is also a moment to consider what comes next for an institution whose story has been written one song at a time.

For Manzini Choir, the celebration is ultimately about more than looking back. It is about honouring the voices that came before while making room for those who will carry the music forward.
