MBABANE – A new chapter is unfolding for Eswatini’s arts and music fraternity as the Eswatini Arts and Music Association (SWAMA) opens membership registration, inviting creatives from across the country to become part of the revived association.
The membership drive officially opened on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with both returning members and new applicants encouraged to register as SWAMA begins the process of rebuilding and strengthening its presence within the creative industry.
At just E50 per individual artist, the association is opening its doors to a wide range of creatives who want to participate in the development and representation of Eswatini’s arts and music sector.
WHO CAN REGISTER?

SWAMA welcomes membership from a broad range of creatives and administrators within Eswatini’s arts and creative industries.
Eligible members include:
* Musicians and singers
* Composers and songwriters
* Music producers and music engineers
* Artist managers and promoters
* DJs
* Comedians
* Poets
* Fine artists
* Arts writers and media practitioners
* Actors and actresses in theatre and film
* Authors
* Other vested individuals within the arts and creative industries
SWAMA recognises the diverse nature of Eswatini’s arts and music sector and seeks to provide an inclusive platform through which artists and other stakeholders can participate in the development and representation of the creative industry.
For groups, bands, collectives and other artistic formations, each individual member is required to register separately and pay the E50 subscription.
HOW TO REGISTER
Members can register online by completing the registration form and attaching their proof of payment before submitting it.
Those who experience challenges accessing or completing the online form can alternatively register in person at any ENCAC office countrywide.

Members are advised to download or take a screenshot of their proof of payment, which will be required when completing the membership registration form.
SWAMA Public Relations Officer Ndumiso Dlamini said the registration drive marks an important step in rebuilding the association and creating a stronger and more representative arts and music community.
The association is encouraging both returning members and those joining for the first time to register and contribute towards building a stronger creative industry.
