ACAESWA POSTPONES UVUKILE WORSHIP EVENT

MBABANE – The Association of Christian Artists of Eswatini (ACAESWA) has postponed its highly anticipated Uvukile worship event, moving it from April 25 to May 30 to ensure quality delivery and respect national commitments.

The decision was confirmed by ACAESWA Secretary General Apostle Elvis Shongwe, who said the change was made after careful consideration of key factors affecting the event’s success. He explained that the original date coincided with national celebrations marking His Majesty the King’s birthday and 40 years on the throne.

Shongwe noted that the association prioritised unity and national pride, encouraging members, artists, churches and supporters to join the country in honouring the milestone. He added that maintaining high organisational standards also played a major role in the postponement.

“We would like to officially inform you that the Uvukile event has been postponed. This decision was reached after careful consideration of the circumstances surrounding the successful hosting of the event,” he said.

Although the change was not easy, Shongwe stressed that it was necessary to uphold the values of the association and ensure a well-organised gospel music platform.

ACAESWA assured stakeholders that all preparations remain in place for the new date, promising an improved and more impactful experience in May. The association also apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked sponsors, partners and supporters for their continued understanding.

The Uvukile worship night is known as a major gospel event in Eswatini, bringing together Christian artists and music lovers for worship, performance and ministry. It also serves as a platform to develop and showcase talent within the gospel music industry.

Shongwe reaffirmed ACAESWA’s commitment to uplifting communities through gospel music and artistic excellence, promising a stronger return of the event.
