MALKERNS — African Alliance has adopted His Majesty King Mswati III’s theme, “We Keep Moving,” as its rallying call as the company pushes ahead with further developments across Eswatini.
Speaking during the official opening of Malkerns Parkview yesterday, African Alliance Group Partner and Chairman S’thofeni Ginindza said the company had “stolen” the King’s theme.
Ginindza said the theme had featured among the messages delivered by His Majesty during the beginning-of-year royal services.
He revealed that he had told the King earlier in the morning that African Alliance had taken his theme.
“As African Alliance, we have stolen His Majesty’s theme. We are moving and we are not stopping,” Ginindza said.
He said the company’s continued movement would require the support and participation of the nation.
Ginindza also pointed to further projects that African Alliance intends to undertake, signalling that Malkerns Parkview is part of a broader development journey for the company.
His remarks came as the company celebrated the opening of the latest development, which includes the newly opened Pick n Pay.
Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo applauded the development, expressing appreciation for the continued investment and transformation being driven by African Alliance.
He commended the work undertaken to bring Malkerns Parkview to completion, saying developments of this nature demonstrate the important role played by the private sector in Eswatini’s economic growth.
ENPF CEO Futhi Tembe also described the Pick n Pay opening as a significant business milestone, saying the supermarket had brought a first-world experience to Eswatini.
She said the development represented a moment of pride, progress and promise for shareholders.
