MBABANE – King Mswati III has urged global leaders to prioritize cooperation and inclusivity in governance, emphasizing Africa’s role in shaping the future.
Speaking at the Dubai World Government Summit 2025, he highlighted the importance of aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 and the African Union’s Vision 2063.
The King stressed that Africa must not be left behind in the race for global innovation and economic transformation. “We must work together to address African and global challenges, ensuring that no country is left behind in this interconnected world,” he said.
Key areas of focus included effective governance, financial inclusivity, climate resilience, and global health transformations. The King emphasized the need for Africa to invest in human capital development and leverage technological advancements to drive economic progress.
He also pointed out that African leaders must champion sustainable development, ensuring that economic growth aligns with environmental responsibility. “We must integrate clean technologies and sustainable agriculture into our economies, fostering a resilient and self-sufficient Africa,” he stated.
King’s speech echoed a larger sentiment at the summit, the need for a unified approach to governance. By embracing innovation, transparency, and inclusivity, Africa can actively contribute to shaping global governance structures.
