BULUNGA- Beakay TheHustler returns with “Imphumelelo”, motivating listeners to stay determined and hopeful.
Rising Afro Pop and Hip-Hop artist Beakay TheHustler is set to drop his brand-new single titled “Imphumelelo” on Saturday, 18 October 2025, featuring his longtime collaborator Mzamo. The track, produced by Mr. Kangaroo, carries an inspiring message encouraging people to never give up on their dreams, no matter how tough the journey gets.
Born Bonginkhosi Mphilo Khumalo, Beakay TheHustler hails from Bulunga, where his musical journey began. He attended Hlane Bulunga Primary School and later Bulunga High School, where teachers like Mr. Sacolo and Mr. Mkhonta, alongside friends Mzamo and Ntando, motivated him to pursue his passion for music. “Actually, the entire Bulunga community supported me,” he said, expressing gratitude to his cousins, aunt, and uncle for their continuous encouragement.
Beakay’s musical influences include renowned South African artists Sjava, Emtee, Blaq Diamond, and Kwesta, whose artistry inspired his sound and lyrical storytelling. His journey took off in high school when he met Mzamo, also an artist, and together they released their first hit, “Ng’tokushada”, featuring Manando. The success of the song opened doors, inspiring more artists in Bulunga to join the movement, contributing to a growing local music scene.
Over the years, Beakay and Mzamo have dropped over 13 songs, with fan favorites like “Umthandazo” and “Umangisuka”, both produced by King Kangaroo. His fans affectionately dubbed him “The Hustler,” a name that reflects his hardworking spirit and dedication to his craft.
Although Beakay took some time off from music to focus on his Automotive studies, he assures fans that the wait is over. His upcoming single “Imphumelelo” serves as both a comeback and a message of hope, reminding listeners that perseverance and hard work eventually lead to success.
