‘BIZZAH’ MKHONTA GRADUATES IN FIFA’S PRESTIGIOUS TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP DIPLOMA

MBABANE – The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Technical Director Bhekisisa ‘Bizzah’ Mkhonta is one of a select group of Technical Leaders from across the globe to graduate from the first edition of FIFA’s prestigious Technical Leadership Diploma.

Mkhonta graduated in Zurich, Switzerland. According to EFA Communications and Marketing Officer Muzi Radebe, Mkhonta attended the final block of the 18-month-long courses which concluded with a series of assessment presentations and a graduation ceremony at the FIFA museum in Zurich between December 5 and 6, 2024.

Since commencing the programme in May 2023, Mkhonta has visited countries including Brazil, Japan, Netherlands and Switzerland as part of the Diploma, which aims to become the ‘globally recognised qualification’ for Technical Leaders working in the game.

“The knowledge that I got from this programme has immensely enhanced my growth as the

Technical Director of the EFA. Football is a dynamic sport; thus, the significance of such programs,” Mkhonta said.

“On behalf of the EFA, I would like to acknowledge FIFA for her investment towards the development of football in the country and the globe. We also congratulate Mkhonta on his achievement in this football development programme. We wish him all the best as he utilises the expertise that he got from this programme,” said EFA President Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane Simelane

The FIFA Director of Global Football Development also congratulated Mkhonta on participating in the first-ever edition of the FIFA Technical Leadership Diploma.

“The future of global football requires expert leaders worldwide and we believe this qualification will help us achieve that aim. We are excited to see how each graduate from the Diploma will help shape and influence the future of football in the years to come,” added Martens.
