MANZINI – South African choral powerhouse Bokamoso Arts Institute is set to bring its acclaimed Lost in Music concert to Eswatini next month, introducing local audiences to a choir that has earned recognition on some of the world’s biggest stages.
The concert will take place on 8 August at Esibayeni Lodge’s Esangweni Hall in Matsapha, marking another stop on the institute’s regional tour. The performance is expected to bring together some of Southern Africa’s leading choral voices in a production that blends musical artistry with cultural exchange.
Founded in Pretoria, Bokamoso Arts Institute has rapidly established itself as one of Africa’s respected choral institutions. In less than a decade, the institute has gained international recognition through appearances at prestigious events, including the World Choir Games, while building a reputation for technical excellence and dynamic stage performances.
At the heart of the organisation is its award-winning choir, whose repertoire spans African choral music, gospel, jazz, classical works and contemporary arrangements. Beyond performance, the institute has also invested in developing young musicians through vocal training camps, conductor development programmes and community outreach initiatives.
The upcoming Eswatini performance reflects Bokamoso’s continued commitment to taking its music beyond South Africa’s borders while creating opportunities for collaboration within the Southern African region. Such productions have become increasingly important in strengthening cultural ties and exposing audiences to diverse choral traditions.
The concert also adds to Eswatini’s growing entertainment calendar, which has recently seen an increase in regional productions choosing the Kingdom as part of their touring schedules. The arrival of Bokamoso Arts Institute offers local choral enthusiasts an opportunity to experience a production shaped by international exposure and African musical heritage.
General admission tickets for the concert are selling for E200 and are available through MojaTicket. Guest conductors are also expected to feature during the performance, with organisers expected to announce the full line-up closer to the event.
