BORDER 2 BORDER CYCLE TOUR (NGWENYA-LAVUMISA) SET FOR JUNE 14, 2025

MBABANE – Cyclists must brace themselves for another epic of the Border 2 Border Cycle Tour billed for June 14, 2025.

The road ride to cover about 240km will start at Ngwenya Border Post with the finish line at Lavumisa Border Post. The cyclists engage in a tour that crosses the longest points of the country and in the past it has drawn international riders.

There would be four starting points of the event with the main one at Ngwenya Border Post at 5am, it would cover the 240km it is under the ‘Main Event’ banner. The second start is billed for Manzini Town Centre and the ride will start at 5:30am under ‘The Hunted’ banner set to cover 180km.

The third start is scheduled for the His Majesty King Mswati III International Airport (Sikhuphe) starting at 6:30am and covering 130km to Lamuvisa under ‘The Flyers’ banner. The last start is billed for Lukhula (Siteki) starting at 7:30am, covering 100km under ‘Cruisers banner.

This is the longest cycle ride in the country. It will be the fifth edition of the tour that also contributes significantly in the tourism industry in the country Last year’s Alphsz sponsored the event to the tune of E65 000.

The tour also promotes road safety awareness.
