MANZINI– Mothers admitted at Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital received a special Mother’s Day surprise after the Celumusa Mbingo Foundation visited the hospital to deliver gifts, encouragement and messages of hope to women currently recovering in the wards.

The initiative, held on Mother’s Day, aimed to comfort and celebrate mothers who were unable to spend the day with their families due to illness. The Foundation donated toiletries, cakes and fresh fruit baskets to patients as part of its mission to promote kindness, dignity and Agape love within communities.

Speaking during the visit, founder Celumusa Mbingo wished all sick patients a speedy recovery while encouraging mothers to remain strong during difficult times.

“I wish everyone who is sick a fast healing. I would also love to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day because this day is very special. Please welcome the gifts we have brought for you today. It might not be much, but we brought them with love,” said Mbingo.

He further said the visit was inspired by the national call to promote Agape love and care for one another within communities.

“We were introduced as a country to the theme of Agape love to promote it. Loving each other with the Lord’s love shows how much we care for one another. When you love your neighbour, even the community comes alive. With this said, Happy Mother’s Day. We love and appreciate you,” he added.

The Foundation explained that the donations were intended not only to meet practical needs but also to restore dignity and bring joy to mothers spending the holiday in hospital beds.

Receiving the gifts on behalf of the hospital, Sister Ndzimandze expressed gratitude to the Foundation for remembering the patients during such an important day.

“We are grateful as a hospital because everybody belongs to a mother, even an animal has a mother. There is no toilet for a person. Whether a gift is small or big, what matters is where it comes from, and these gifts come from the deepest part of the heart,” she said.

She further said Mbingo’s gesture reflected God’s love towards patients.

“For God loved us all, that is why Mbingo saw it fit to come and show all these mothers God’s love,” she added.

The visit formed part of the Foundation’s ongoing community outreach programmes honouring the living legacy of the founder’s mother through acts of compassion and service.
