MBASHENI – A shared sense of purpose filled the room as parents, teachers, and community leaders from Mbasheni and St Joseph’s gathered this week to reflect on progress, challenges, and the future of child protection in their communities.
The meeting, coordinated by the SWAGAA under the KNH Project, created a space for open dialogue and collective reflection. Participants came together not only to review the project, but to share experiences and explore how their communities are working to create safer environments for children.
Through engaging discussions, stakeholders assessed key achievements and examined the impact made in addressing gender-based violence, promoting inclusive learning, and supporting children with disabilities. Stories of progress were shared alongside lessons learned, highlighting both the strides made and the work that still lies ahead.
Throughout the session, collaboration remained at the centre of every conversation. Parents, educators, and community leaders exchanged ideas and practical solutions, reinforcing the understanding that protecting children is a shared responsibility that extends beyond classrooms and into homes and communities.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of sustaining momentum. Participants reflected on ways to strengthen implementation, ensure long-term impact, and continue building environments where every child feels safe, supported, and valued.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to advance child protection and inclusive education across Eswatini, aligning community action with national goals to safeguard the rights and well-being of all children.
As the session came to a close, conversations continued beyond the meeting space, a clear sign of renewed commitment and collective responsibility. The gathering not only highlighted progress but also reinforced a powerful message: lasting change is built through unity, dialogue, and a shared vision for a safer future for every child.
