ZAKHELE – Impisi Hyena, with support from Manzini Municipal Council, donated over E20 000 in food and cash to Zakhele Care Point, benefiting children.

A strong spirit of generosity defined Day 2 of the Impisi Rally as the Impisi Hyena biker group extended significant support to Zakhele Care Point. The club donated food parcels, canned goods and more, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities across the Kingdom.

The initiative, carried out in partnership with Manzini Municipal Council, reflects the club’s continued efforts to give back through proceeds raised from their events, including the popular Impisi Rally. Zakhele Care Point, led by Lindiwe Mazibuko, feeds about 150 children daily, making the donation a timely boost to its operations.

Acting Chief Executive of Manzini Municipal Council, Sizwe Dlamini, expressed appreciation for the group’s consistent generosity. He noted that beyond charity, the rally contributes to economic growth and tourism, while also creating employment opportunities for young people in the region. He added that the support eases the burden on the centre, allowing it to focus on other important projects.

Impisi Hyena President Matthews Portgieter said the group remains committed to such initiatives, emphasising that the joy seen on the children’s faces is what drives their efforts. He described the experience as deeply rewarding and encouraged continued support from members and partners.

This year’s donation drive also saw collaboration with the Cardo Foundation, which prepared meals for the children on the day. In a touching moment, one biker called on fellow members to contribute E10 each to appreciate a woman who cooks for the children. The group raised E356 in recognition of her dedication.

The event ended on a joyful note as the children entertained the bikers with dance performances, highlighting the impact of the day’s generosity.
