MBABANE – There was nothing ‘General’ about yesterday’s Prime Time Party held at the iconic 23:28 Lounge which packed a full house!
Presented by NewLife Entertainment,the double celebration was held last night (19 June 2026) and saw a full house where patrons descended at 23:28 Lounge to celebrate DJ Cup’s birthday party as well as the launch of his latest EP. South African Deep House maestro D.General, popularly known as “Mr Izwa La” was the special guest and delivered an electrifying set,much to the delight of the patrons.
D General is a South African house DJ born Dumisani Teboho Sithole. He is a highly respected DJ, musician, and producer from Johannesburg, primarily known for his contributions to the Deep House and Soulful House music scenes
DJ Cup expressed his gratitude to his fans and patrons who came out to support him,and said it was such a great party.

The Eswatini house music sensation DJ Cup, born Welcome Zama Maseko, combined major milestones — his birthday and the launch of his new Extended Playlist (EP) Part 2.
DJ Cup’s latest EP features collaborations with Soul Cavalli and Zinia, showcasing his signature blend of deep, energetic, and authentic Afro House sounds that have earned him recognition across Southern Africa.
Some of the performances last night included the birthday boy himself( DJ Cup), Sbu De Drum DJ (Sibusiso Dlamini), DJ MBO (Mbongiseni Sithungo), Locco B2B Dopedeep,(Nicholas Dlamini) Slotta, The Bishop B2B Ace4nic, and more.
DJ Cup continues to elevate his profile on the regional music scene. Recently, he was selected to represent Eswatini at the prestigious Kings of House 20.26 event set to take place in Mozambique next month on July 11, 2026.
Presented by Gloom Events, the international showcase will feature acclaimed house music DJs from countries including Spain, Brazil, South Africa, and Mozambique. DJ Cup is among the first eight artists announced for the event.
With more than a decade of experience in the music industry, DJ Cup has performed in Eswatini, South Africa, Tanzania, and Mozambique.
He is also known for producing popular deep house podcast mixes and serves as the Operations Director of NewLife Entertainment.
