MBABANE – DJ Cup is set to make waves in Mozambique, sharing the stage with renowned international DJ’s at The Circle on Friday (July 26-2024).

DJ Cup (born Welcome Maseko) shared his excitement, appreciating the opportunity to work with respected musicians, stating, “I am humbled and honoured to play with the likes of Viot from Brazil, as well as the other legends that I will be sharing the stage with.”

The Circle’s event promises to be an unforgettable night with a star-studded line-up of House Music talent from across the globe. In addition to DJ Cup and Viot, the event features South Africa’s Hypa Phonic, Mozambique’s Mr. Hands, Counter Pacco, Dylan, Bad & Bouje, and Owa Oda. With an array of international DJs, the night guarantees to be full of electrifying, global beats.

DJ Cup had a passion for House Music from an early age. He started his journey by buying music and getting his favourite DJ’s playlists on Spotify and other digital platforms.

With a decade of experience and a collection of awards under his belt, DJ Cup’s distinctive style, carefully curated sets, and passion for Deep House are sure to make the night one to remember.

As a full-time entertainer, the DJ has performed at countless events in his homeland, Eswatini, South Africa, Tanzania, and Mozambique.

DJ Cup’s impressive skills extend beyond rocking the stage at events. The acclaimed DJ is also a skilled producer, creating Deep house mixes for both online and offline platforms, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and multifaceted musician in the House Music scene.

His experience has won him a collection of awards under his belt. These include the MTN SWAMA Awards for being the best house song in 2020 and the MTN SWAMA Awards 2021 for the best collaboration, where he featured Mandisa Mamba on Emaphupho.

In April this year, the renowned DJ launched his song, The Groove in the City, in Mozambique.
