MALKERNS – And the line-up keeps getting better and better!
Get ready for a legendary experience as the Queen of Gospel; Dr. Rebecca Malope will grace the fourth edition of the Makoti Festival 2025 stage. This was confirmed by Makoti Festival Director Thembinkosi Mthethwa today (7 February 2025).
The fourth edition of the Makoti Festival will be held at Malkerns Country Club, on 26 April 2025. The festival is presented by New Life Entertainment, in partnership with the Illa Penboy Foundation.

With a career spanning decades and a voice that touches the soul, the multi award winning Dr. Rebecca Malope has inspired millions with her powerful music. Now, she’s bringing that anointing, energy, and spirit-lifting performance to Makoti Festival.
Wednesday saw the addition of Mozambique’s own queen of Afro-beat, the sensational, multi-award-winning Lizha James.
James is the second international who will grace the Makoti Festival stage. The first international act announced was South African Maskandi powerhouse Khuzani. “uGatsheni” Ndlovu early in the week.
The first local act is NACA 2024 Outstanding Afro-pop artist. Young Zesh, born Mzwandile Comfort Ginindza (24).This will be his debut performance for the Makoti Festival. It’s worth noting that Young Zesh is the first local artist to be announced to grace the Makoti Festival stage. The second local act spot went to Mshikishi Mndzebele who will also join the exciting line up for the fourth edition.
Tickets to the fourth edition of the festival are now available. General pre-sale tickets worth E200 and E500 VIP.

The purpose of the family-orientated festival is to promote Eswatini culture. It is a celebration of modern women, in particular married or unmarried, and young girls who aspire to be proud makotis in the near future. The festival provides fashion stalls, food stalls, and live performances. The festival is known for celebrating trendy fashion for young and old women from different backgrounds.
