MBABANE – Because local is lekker!
Mbabane’s own house music sensation, DJ Rekorder, will take centre stage at the next instalment of Rhythm & Groove, presented by New Life Entertainment, next Friday, 22 August 2025, at the stylish 23:28 Lounge in the Mbabane Checkers Business Park.
Born Lwazi Nzuza, DJ Rekorder will treat fans to a special deep house set, sharing the decks with a stellar all-local line-up, including Slotta (Nicholas Dlamini), DJ Cup (Zama Welcome Maseko), Expo, Nelson X and Mpho.
The event kicks off in the evening and runs till late, with entry at E50 after 7pm. Table bookings are essential via 7927 0015.
“It’s refreshing to have an all-local line-up for this edition of Rhythm & Groove. I encourage locals to come out and support us next Friday for a night of fun and great music,” said Rekorder.
Fresh from his well-received performance at the seventh edition of the Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival two weeks ago, as well as the second edition of the 2025 MoMo Xperience, Rekorder has been riding a wave of success. This year alone, he has graced stages at the 2025 House Music Fest, the Luju Festival, and other major house music gatherings.
With over a decade in the music scene, DJ Rekorder has earned a reputation for electrifying beats and seamless mixes. Whether performing in an intimate lounge or headlining a massive festival, his high-energy sets always leaves the crowd wanting more. His musical range spans Amapiano, Afro House, and Soulful House. His impressive CV includes performances at MTN Bushfire, the Durban July Afterparty, and residencies at renowned venues such as LIV Durban, Ayepyep Pretoria, Rich Durban, and popular local clubs.
Also on next week’s line-up, Slotta encouraged his fans and patrons of the iconic lounge to attend in numbers. “Rhythm & Groove is always about the good kinda groove, where the music takes centre stage. If you’re looking to just bask in good music, you never want to miss out on an R&G episode,” he said.
The Rhythm & Groove series continues to elevate nightlife in Mbabane.
Past editions have featured big-name acts such as South Africa’s Earful Soul, who delivered a moving deep house set in March 2025, South African deep house sensation Fatso 98, who took over the decks on May 23, 2025 and acclaimed DJ deep house lovers.
