EZULWINI – It’s official.
The highly anticipated Men’s Mental Health Experience featuring South African football legend Doctor “16V” Khumalo has found a new home.
Organisers have confirmed that the event will now be held at the Woodlands Auditorium in Ezulwini on Saturday, 28 June at 1pm, shifting indoors to ensure comfort amid the winter chills.
While the venue has changed, the heart of the event remains firmly intact, to challenge the silence around men’s mental health and spark honest, healing conversations in a safe, supportive space.
“This is not just another event. This is a lifeline,” said Sisusa Dlamini, the passionate chief organiser and the brains behind the movement.
“We are gathering to remind men that their stories matter, their struggles are valid, and most importantly, they are not alone.”
Dlamini, a fearless advocate for emotional wellness, said the decision to move the venue was made in the interest of comfort and experience.
“We want every guest to be fully present and at ease. That’s why we’ve gone for an indoor space, because this conversation deserves nothing less than excellence.”
Known for previously announcing the arrival of Doctor Khumalo, one of South Africa’s greatest footballers, Sisusa was quick to remind the public that the legend’s presence is more about the man behind the fame than the game.
“Doctor Khumalo has walked through pain, pressure and purpose. He’s not here as a celebrity, he’s here to connect, brother to brother,” she said.
Dlamini encouraged men across the country to show up for themselves and for each other. “Gentlemen, this is your call-up. Come and take your seat. Come with your heart open. Come ready to listen, to share, and to breathe,” she said.
The all-star panel includes podcaster Musa “Mr Gwamile” Nxumalo, Men of Purpose founder Pastor Sipho Dlamini, psychologist Lungelo Nxumalo, and businessman Sihle Mkhonta, who will each explore topics like grief, pressure, emotional resilience, and modern fatherhood.
“This isn’t about weakness, it’s about courage,” added Dlamini. “There is so much power in telling your story, and even more in listening to someone else’s.”
With live storytelling, real-life conversations, music and audience interaction, the Men’s Mental Health Experience promises to be both eye-opening and soul-soothing.
Tickets are available now at www.smartticket.co.za. Dlamini encouraged people to secure theirs early.
“Bring your brother, your uncle, your son, your friend. This one’s for the guys. And it’s going to be unforgettable.”
