MBABANE— The Eswatini Investment Centre (EIC) has officially launched its website as a strategic platform to attract investors and strengthen engagement ahead of the upcoming Eswatini Investment Conference (EIC).
The launch, held at the EIPA Head Office, marks a key milestone for the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) in advancing the country’s digital investment strategy. The platform is designed to connect Eswatini with the global investment community while providing a seamless gateway for participation in the conference.
Speaking during the event, Chief Executive Officer Sibani Mngomezulu emphasised the importance of visibility in driving investment. “If investors don’t know you, they are not likely to invest,” he said, noting that many opportunities are often overlooked due to limited awareness. He added that the website will play a critical role in showcasing investment opportunities and broadening engagement with stakeholders.
Mngomezulu also announced that the dates for the Eswatini Investment Conference have been shifted to July 2026, with the exact dates to be confirmed in due course.
Also addressing attendees, officials highlighted that the platform goes beyond being an information tool. It serves as a central hub where investors can access conference details, register, and secure participation through individual tickets or corporate packages, including half and full tables.
The website navigation was demonstrated by Machawe Tfwala, Manager: Investment Promotion, who guided attendees through its features, including registration processes, ticket purchasing, and calendar integration with platforms such as Google and Outlook.
In a statement, EIPA underscored the broader significance of the platform, describing it as a gateway to participation and a tool that ensures investors can easily navigate all aspects of the conference. The authority also highlighted the importance of collaboration, particularly with the media, in amplifying Eswatini’s value proposition and positioning the country as a premier investment destination.
The platform also captures key participant information, including dietary requirements, special needs, emergency contacts, and session preferences, enabling efficient planning and coordination of conference activities.
The conference, themed “Connecting Capital with Opportunity,” is expected to attract investors, policymakers, and business leaders from across the globe. Officials described the website launch as a significant step in strengthening Eswatini’s global investment profile and driving economic growth.
