EJUBUKWENI SAYS NKWE TO SPORTS AND WELLNESS

MBABANE– The spirit of unity and healthy living is set to take centre stage as the Ejubukweni community, nestled in the Hhohho Region which prepares to host an all-inclusive Sports and Wellness Day on August 9, 2025.

The action-packed day will feature a variety of sports including netball, soccer, table tennis, tug of war, and several other engaging games. The inclusion of both competitive and fun activities ensures that everyone in the community even the elders finds something to enjoy and participate in.

What makes the event even more exciting is the healthy rivalry that will unfold among different sections of the Ejubukweni community. Areas such as Zencane, Lubuyane, Mabhawu, and Damu will go head-to-head in a series of friendly matches, all competing for top honours and medals that will be awarded to the winners.

According to the organisers, the event is not just about sport, but also about  uniting the community in sports, provide lessons about academics and wellness.

“The aim of this event is to unite the community and provide them with knowledge that will help them grow their lives and empower them academically. The event will feature organizations such as the Ministry of Health which will be providing lessons on health issues, BSA, Khuba Traders, Eswatini Building Society , and mbabane Burial.” Said Simphiwe Gama.

As the big day approaches, excitement is already mounting across Ejubukweni. Teams are training, supporters are rallying, and preparations are in full swing. The event promises to be a celebration of both competition and community spirit – a reminder that when a community moves together, it grows stronger together.

Residents and supporters are encouraged to come in numbers, bring their team spirit, and make the day one to remember.
