MBABANE – Eswatini has exported goods worth around E2 million to the Republic of China (Taiwan). This is according to the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) revealed through a statement the government entity issued on their media platform on March 26, 2026.
“EIPA has highlighted a major milestone in the Kingdom’s export growth, with Eswatini products valued at nearly E2 million successfully exported to Taiwan for the Eswatini Cultural Festival, a flagship showcase of the country’s culture, craftsmanship, and commercial potential,” reads the statement in part.
The communiqué then states that the participating brands are Black Mamba Foods, Tintsaba, Swazi Candles, Swati Secrets and Baobab Batik.
“This achievement underscores the growing demand for Eswatini products in international markets and reflects the tangible outcomes of strengthened economic cooperation between Eswatini and Taiwan,” the statement reads.
Meanwhile, on Monday, EIPA extended the application deadline for export-ready food and beverage businesses in Eswatini to participate in the Taipei International Food Show (Food Taipei 2026), scheduled to take place from 24 to 27 June 2026 in Taiwan.
According to a statement issued by EIPA, the new application deadline is Friday, 27 March 2026, to allow businesses additional time to apply for this international exhibition opportunity. Thandeka Dlamini, Manager External Trade Promotion at EIPA, encouraged businesses to take advantage of the extended deadline:
“Food Taipei offers emaSwati food and beverage producers a valuable opportunity to position their products on a global platform. By participating, businesses can engage directly with international buyers, explore new market trends, and strengthen their export readiness. The exposure to the Asian market in particular presents significant potential for growth, helping local producers expand their reach and build sustainable trade relationships beyond Eswatini,” she said.
Dlamini added that the exhibition provides traders with direct access to potential buyers, distributors, and trade partners, enabling them to market their products within the dynamic and highly competitive Asian market.
