EZULWINI– Ezulwini has recorded significant growth over the past four decades, with expanding infrastructure and rising investment reinforcing its status as a city of the future, Mayor Refiloe Mamiqobo has said.
Mamiqobo made the remarks in a congratulatory message to His Majesty, King Mswati III as the country celebrates his four decades on the throne and His 58th birthday, linking the town’s transformation to sustained leadership and national support.
She said that looking back at how Ezulwini Town was four decades ago, a great improvement is seen. She also stated that it is evident that His Majesty, King Mswati III’s leadership has changed the town to what it is.
The Mayor said Ezulwini has evolved into a key destination for investment, attracting embassies and major offices that continue to shape its economic landscape.
She added that continued support has driven the municipality’s growth path and strengthened its development agenda.
The municipality has positioned itself as a hub of opportunity, with ongoing development contributing to improved infrastructure and increased confidence among investors and stakeholders.
Looking ahead, Mamiqobo expressed optimism about Ezulwini’s long-term prospects, stating that the town is set to expand significantly in the coming decades.
“We have great hope that with the support of His Majesty, the future of the town is bigger and brighter,” she said.
She said the municipality remains confident that Ezulwini will continue to rise and solidify its role as a leading urban centre.
“We don’t doubt that the town will grow to even greater heights as we aspire it to be in the next 40 years and beyond,” she said. She also stressed that she believes that the King will still be on the throne and the town will have grown a hundred times more.
The remarks highlight growing confidence in Ezulwini’s development, as the town continues to build momentum as a centre for economic activity and international presence.
