SIDVOKODVO – The queens of music are taking centre stage once again!
After a five-year journey of uplifting and empowering female voices, the highly anticipated The Diva’s Concert is back for its fifth edition—and it’s going bigger, bolder, and even more sensational.
Set for August 31, 2025, at The Olive Country Lodge in Sidvokodvo, the all-day musical celebration will run from 12 noon until late, presented by The Sunday Chill-Out and organised by NewLife Entertainment. This event will not only celebrate women in music but also shine a spotlight on powerful, genre-defying talent from Eswatini and beyond.
Here’s a look at the dynamic divas already confirmed in the first phase of the line-up as confirmed by Festival Director Thembinkosi Mthethwa.
In true Diva’s Concert fashion, this year’s event promises a powerhouse of performances with the first phase of the line-up already unveiled. Leading the bill is timeless South African jazz legend Siphokazi Maraqana, best known for her 2007 breakout hit Amacala. Rooted in Xhosa rhythms, Siphokazi’s soulful sound has earned her numerous accolades, including a South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best Newcomer, and multiple Metro FM Awards. Her latest album, Siphokazi, has received several nominations across major award platforms such as the SAMA, INGOMA, and Crown Gospel Awards.
Nothando Hlophe – Eswatini’s gospel powerhouse and fan favourite brings spiritual elevation to the stage. Known for her deeply soulful voice and moving performances, Nothando continues to reign as one of the kingdom’s most respected gospel voices.
Floewe Dladla – The soul legend whose timeless voice has touched generations. Her participation adds a golden layer of nostalgia and authenticity to the line-up.
Velemseni Ndzimandze – A rising Afro-soul sensation whose heartfelt lyrics and unique sound have earned her acclaim. Velemseni is a voice for the future, fusing depth with contemporary flair.
Cleopatra Methula – Eswatini’s country music queen! Cleopatra is known for her stirring performances and genre-bending style that brings a fresh sound to every stage she graces.
Originelle (Makhosazana Thwala) – A hip-hop force to be reckoned with, Originelle represents the bold and lyrical side of Eswatini’s music scene. She adds edge and attitude to the line-up.
Sarnilo (Samketi Ntando Dlamini) – The Malawian-EmaSwati singer-songwriter who blends siSwati and Chichewa, creating a truly pan-African musical experience. Her Afro-fusion style is deeply expressive and culturally rich.
The second phase of the line-up, which will feature an all-female DJ cast, is set to be revealed soon, promising more excitement and energy.
Tickets are already on sale via Howler, Computicket, MoMo, and Moja Ticket, priced at E250 for General Access and E550 for the VIP Experience.
“The Diva’s Concert is about celebrating and empowering women in entertainment. This year, we’re amplifying that mission with a carefully curated line-up that spans genres, cultures, and generations,” said Festival Director Thembinkosi Mthethwa.
