MBABANE— Sometimes, love begins with a grand romantic gesture, while for others, it starts with a simple question asked along the way to church. For Christine Ngomane and Mthokozisi Sacolo, what began as a search for the OAC church in Mbabane blossomed into a beautiful love story that led them to marriage on 3 October 2026.
Christine had recently arrived in Mbabane and was still finding her way around the city when an unexpected encounter brought her face-to-face with the man who would eventually become her husband.
On her way to church in 2022, she noticed a man dressed in a suit. Assuming he was also heading to a church service, she approached him and asked for directions to the OAC church.
Little did she know that the question would become the opening chapter of a lifelong journey with Mthokozisi.
The encounter was particularly meaningful because OAC was not a new place of worship for Christine. It was the same church she had attended while living at home in Lomahasha. However, being new to Mbabane meant she needed a little help finding her way.
As fate would have it, Mthokozisi confirmed that he was also heading to the very church she was looking for.

According to Christine, Mthokozisi wasted little time in trying to win her heart. However, she was not immediately interested in his romantic advances. Rather than rush into a relationship, the two decided to become friends.
