MBABANE– Rising Eswatini DJ Gifted Kosie elevated her growing international presence after delivering an electrifying performance at the Afro Piano Groove Edition 2 in Rwanda over the weekend.
The entertainer performed at Azzurri Club in Kigali alongside DJs from Rwanda and Nigeria, adding another international booking to her expanding career. The event attracted music lovers from across the region as amapiano and afro-piano music continued dominating African entertainment spaces.
Kosie, who travelled to Rwanda over the weekend and was expected back home today, said the performance marked a major career milestone as it exposed her to a new audience beyond Eswatini borders.
“Performing in Rwanda was a moment of immense happiness for me, creating an unforgettable experience and telling a story that resonated across borders,” she said.
The DJ revealed that the Rwanda booking came after promoters discovered her through viral social media content and her previous international appearances. She explained that online platforms had continued creating major opportunities for her brand and music career.
“Just like my other international gigs, I got approached by promoters after they saw my work and viral videos on my social media pages,” she revealed.
Known for her energetic performances and strong online presence, Kosie said the overseas booking strengthened her profile within the African entertainment industry while proving her ability to perform for diverse crowds outside her home country.
She also praised Rwandan audiences for their warm reception and vibrant energy during the show. Beyond the music, the entertainer described Rwanda as a beautiful country with memorable cultural experiences and local cuisine.
“Adding an overseas booking like this Rwanda booking instantly transformed my résumé. It proved to promoters worldwide that I had cross-border appeal and that I was able to perform outside of my home market,” she added.
Kosie further encouraged young women pursuing careers in entertainment to believe in themselves and embrace opportunities that challenged them to grow.
