LOBAMBA– It was a deeply moving Good Friday service at the National Church as rising gospel artist Sabelo Matse delivered a soul-stirring performance that left congregants uplifted.
His rendition of “Nhliziyo Yami Ayifuni Ukwehlulwa nguSathane” brought hope and strength to worshippers’ spirits, and in appreciation, congregants contributed E7 137 in offerings, including a contribution from Her Majesty the Indlovukazi.
Fresh from a successful trip to Zimbabwe, Matse captivated the audience with his emotional performance, which showcased his growing prominence as one of Eswatini’s most promising gospel voices. His recent victory at the Music and Arts Festival for Persons with Disabilities, hosted by The Luke Commission, further cemented his rising reputation.
The funds will be safely held on his behalf by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, ensuring proper management and support for the artist’s continued growth.
Matse international exposure has further elevated his career. During his trip to Zimbabwe, he was hosted by Edd Branson Publishers and recorded music with one of the country’s leading artists, in a journey sponsored by Eswatini Air that enriched his musical experience.
The young artist’s story reflects resilience, faith, and determination, as he continues to inspire many across the country. His performance at the National Church stands as a testament to the power of gospel music in uniting communities and strengthening faith during the Easter season.
